ABOUT THE BOOK

In a world where assassination is legal and licensed by the local government, an all-female agency of professional “problem solvers” fight against the structures that bind them.

Their boss, Mr. C, thinks he’s been doing the right thing all along by using his fancy MBA to make the agency his mama left him more efficient. He figures he’s pretty smart…until the day he receives mysterious messages from “Anony Mouse” tipping him off that he needs to start running for his life.

Now a clutch of AI-powered drones hunt C from safe house to safe house as he reads through old case files and tries to figure out where he went wrong by the “girls” he employed so he can save his own sorry ass.

John Wick meets the Barbie movie in this satire of modern workplace culture.

An orange graphic that says just as her job was taking lives, it had taken hers, a quote from the novel Read and Run by Beth Green

“Mama always joked that on any street in the world you’d find

a woman with enough rage inside to burn down a building.

The rage, she said, was all they needed. The rest was just training.”

Beth Writes stories about crime and travel.

Beth Green grew up on a sailboat but these days is most often found ashore—currently Prague, Czech Republic. She’s a former reporter, English teacher and travel blogger. These days, when not writing for clients or plotting international crimes to take place in my fiction, she enjoys reading, watercolor painting, and the art of slow travel.
